Set as a precursor, the four most recognisable characters in literature (in human form), meet up at Mr Molesworth’s house, and discover how all four of their lives are intertwined with that of Kenneth Grahame, the famous author of , The Wind in the Willows.
Kenneth Grahame, the author of the classic stories of ‘The Wind in the Willows’, had an extraordinary life story, which is full of relatable experiences and personal tragedy to which he based his famous wildlife animal characters. During the play, we discover the background to this quiet, very conservative man who was actually Secretary of the Bank of England and the creator of one of the most loved and enduring children’s books and stories of all times.
The Mind in the Willows will take you on a journey of fantasy, comedy and tragedy – but leave you with nostalgic sentiment for the original classic tales and their author.
