Workshop Participant

An opportunity to observe Louise Winter working with local singers before they all take part in an afternoon recital performing the songs they have been working on.

Workshops will be split into three categories:

  • Beginners (8-13yrs) 11-12pm

  • Intermediates (13-18yrs) 12-13pm

  • Experienced Singers – 13.30- 15.00pm

  • Q&A with Louise and Will – 15-15.30pm

  • Recital – 15.30pm

Singers are asked to have booked their place on the workshop by 26th April and we may well contact you in the week preceding the workshop to see what songs you will be working on.

Louise Winter has appeared on some of the world’s great opera stages, including, in this country, the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Glyndebourne.  For ENO she sang the role of Carmen, directed by Jonathan Miller, and the title role in Handel’s Xerxes in the acclaimed production by Nicholas Hytner.  Her recordings include an album of songs by Frank Bridge with pianist Roger Vignoles.  In 2023 she sang the roles of Frugola and Zita in Sir David McVicar’s new production of Puccini’s Il Trittico for Scottish Opera and Mistress Quickly for Opera North’s warmly received ’sustainable’ production of Verdi’s Falstaff.
