DIRECTOR’S EVENING FOR 2027

Do you have a Production you would like to direct at the Stables Theatre in 2027?

Then we have the night for you!

On the 30th of November from 4pm the Producing Team is holding a Director’s Evening where you can come and pitch the show you would like to direct at The Stables Theatre.

There are no limitations on the shows you can pitch – we thrive on a diverse range of ideas, themes, styles and forms of theatre. Good luck and we look forward to hearing from you and your great ideas!

Guidelines for pitching:
1. You will be required to have filled out a short Director’s Form to tell us about your production, and returned it to us by the 23rd November.
2. To direct a full-scale production we would have expected you to have directed at The Stables or to have experience as a director previously. However, we pride ourselves on producing shows across a variety of style, genre and size, so if you have little or no directing experience please still apply, as there may be other opportunities for you.
3. Please be aware of the limitations of the Stables Theatre, in consideration of its size and resources and the show you would like to pitch. If you need some guidance on this, please visit the theatre or get in touch – we’ll always be happy to hear from you.
4. On the night the Producing Team will see each director individually and privately so they can pitch their ideas. You will have 15 minutes maximum where we will discuss your pitch and your ideas for the show with you. We advise only pitching one or two productions to allow us time to discuss them with you.
