Carabiners

An original play by Glynn Carter. The winner of The Stables Play Writing Competition.

Directed by Aisling Tigwell.
Paul and Angie’s marriage is rocked after twin traumas hit them on the same day.

Angie is told she must have a hysterectomy.  Paul takes her 11-year old son from a previous relationship to a “Go-Ape” style treetop adventure, where Paul nearly dies.

The H-bomb triggers Angie’s dissatisfaction with their marriage.

Carabiners is not a play about a woman who has a hysterectomy, or man who faced his own mortality. It is about love, safety, and what links us.
