The Future of Christmas is in his Past.
A traditional play with music for the whole family. Set in Dickensian London, we follow a mean hearted Ebenezer Scrooge as three mysterious ghosts show him the error of his ways. He is transported to a magical world filled with song, adventure and the spirit of Christmas past, present and future.
The script has been written and our production will be developed in conjunction with the cast.
We will be auditioning for a company of actors, singers and musicians. So if you have one, two or all three of these talents then please come and audition.
We would like you to select twelve lines from Dickens that you feel represent the character or type of character you wish to audition for.
We will also ask you to sing !
Actors auditioning for ensemble and non- solo singing roles will be asked to sing ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ – a chorus.
Actors auditioning for singing roles will be asked to sing ‘You’ve got to hide your Love away’ – Beatles – a verse and chorus – be prepared to be asked to ‘change it up a bit’!
We will be holding two audition sessions on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th July. Saturday 15th will be for actors wanting to audition for solo singing roles. Sunday 16th will be for actors wanting to audition for ensemble singing roles. If you play an instrument please bring your instrument with you.
The auditions will be fun, you only need to attend one of the sessions and if you are able to let us know that you are attending that will be great.
