Georgian pianist Salome Chitaia is sadly indisposed – Local musician Mike Hatchard has agreed to play at this performance. 

Although better known for his forays in the jazz world, Mike Hatchard finds himself more and more in demand as a classical recitalist these days; he studied piano at the Royal College of Music with Peter Wallfisch; other tutors included Harold Parker and Ronald Lumsden. He regularly performs with the Chamber Ensemble of London and the Ardenti String Quartet, and has appeared at the Purcell Room, the V and A and the BBC Concert Room. He is currently preparing to record a second album on the Radio 3 Piano.
