MEETING: Lest We Forget

To mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, The Stables Theatre is putting together a special show of music, words, songs and dance directed by Tim and Viv Wormley Healing, and devised by them with Chris Lacey. We are hoping to find family memories of the veterans both those who did not return and those who survived. This real testimony will form the backbone of the show.
We will be holding a meeting at The Stables on Wednesday 15th August to gather ideas and information, and then on Wednesday 19th September start the process of putting the show together.
‘Less We Forget’ will run at The Stables from Thursday 8th November to Sunday 11th November – Armistice Day /Remembrance Sunday. The performances Thursday to Saturday will start at 7.30pm, on Sunday 11 th at 2.30pm. We have also had an invitation from the Queens University of Canada based at Herstmonceux Castle to perform there either on Tuesday 6th or Wednesday 7 th November. If you have any memories, or family history we can use or want to be involved in this exciting and important project contact Chris Lacey at the Stables and /or come to the meeting on 15th August.
