In the Attic –  Is the imagining of Mrs Rochester, the mad woman  in the attic from the novel Jane Eyre and her relationship with her carer Grace Poole and her brother Richard.

Mrs Rochester is spoiled naive and childlike, she is fond of attention, pretty dresses and dancing [she is the island princess], she knows she will marry a wealthy man from England, but all her dreams of a lovely life are shattered by the time she reaches England.
