Home I’m Darling is a sparkling and thought provoking comedy by Laura Wade, winner of the 2019 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy and played at The National Theatre. Home I’m Darling is an exploration of marriage, gender roles and nostalgia and poses the question How happily married are the happily married?
Filled with 1950s music and dancing as these characters jive and lindy-hop their way around their pastel-soaked kitchen and open-plan living room. Laura Wade’s clever play doesn’t so much sing the praises of the good old days as show us that “nostalgia ain’t what it used to be”.
