It’s that time of year again at the Stables Theatre where we are searching for directors to pitch for the shows for our 2025 season.

The Stables Theatre and Arts Centre is volunteer led community venue in heart of Hastings Old Town. We house a 126-seat theatre, rehearsal spaces and art gallery.

In-house productions are produced by the Programming Advisory Group (PAG) – a group consisting of 10 members who have a variety of backgrounds, knowledge and experience within professional and community theatre.

We are looking for directors who have a clear vision of a show they would like to direct. How they would stage the piece both artistically and practically within our venue.

Submissions to be made by midnight on 17th June 2024.

PAG will then invite directors  whose plays they feel make up a strong and appealing season to a meeting to discuss their ideas in more depth.

People new to the theatre or directing will be asked to direct a one act as part of our One Act play week. We do this so we get to know you, and you get to us and the theatre. Please complete the online form as above.
