The winter and spring terms of our regular acting class with Chris New will now become a temporary theatre company in order to develop and perform a brand new play, Harvest.  The characters in the play will be specifically written for the actors of the class.  It will be developed in term 1 and rehearsed in term 2 with an opening night pencilled for the week of Feb 19th.   This will be an ambitious way to learn new skills and put them swiftly into practice and go beyond the usual constraints of an acting class.

 

We’re now taking entry for term 1 – Building the company.  This term will focus on the fundamentals of acting. Participants will receive an excellent short course in acting training based on Chris’ three years at RADA – covering voice, body, text, character, action and imagination – and the group will be brought together as a company ready for rehearsing the play in term 2.

As the term develops, each actor will have a part written for them by Chris which embraces their strengths and offers them a level of challenge which is right for them. Anyone interested in participating in the final play must attend Term 1.
