Synopsis
Continuing with the themes of love and loss, PAP proudly presents The One Good Thing by Joe Bravaco, the winner of the 2024 New Writing Competition as a companion piece to A Single Man.
What is real? What is imaginary? A beautifully woven tale of life, love and the enduring power of family.
Set in a remote Irish farmhouse, two brothers are drawn together to confront their past, the complex nature of their bond and the choices that define them.
Through wit, humour and heart, this captivating play explores the ties that bind, the quiet strength of family and how even the smallest moments shape our lives.
As the brothers wrestle with what it means to love, to forgive and to move forward, The One Good Thing asks: What is the one thing we leave behind, and how does it echo through time?
We are looking for a strong actor for the following role:
TOMMY (male / male presenting)
Jamie’s brother an artist, married, 20s, handsome. Irish accent. Accent coaching will be provided.
For the audition, please prepare a monologue of your own choosing. For the call backs you will be asked to read scenes from The One Good Thing with a scene partner.
Please contact Hugo on htrebels@aol.com if you have any questions or if you need any help choosing a monologue.
